Oh if only that were true.... still can't run further than 2 miles non stop.... and a mile seems to be a much better place to rest.... Monday run goes up to an 'easy' 4m next week, and Wednesday is already at 6 miles....
Still with 7 weeks to go I am sure I have nothing to worry about !!! YEAH RIGHT !!!
Anyway some good news, the diet / exercise has really kicked in, lost 18lb now since I started weighing in last sunday at 19st 1lb..... even been in the loft to find my old clothes !!!

been a while
Apologies, haven't been updating for a while, but have been going strong on the training front, (although a lot slower than I would like!!!)
Now up to 7 mile run / walk once a week with multiples of 2m / 4 m around the big one.... Although only just managed to run for 1 mile without stopping, tomorrow night is the big one, 2 miles none stop....
Also had the excitment of taking delivery of a treadmill (allbeit 16 years old !!!) but industrial strength, so now get the pleasure of not going outside in the cold.....
Weight is also coming down, managed to lose a stone, so now weigh in at 19st 5lbs.... nice.....

dissapointed but slowly getting there...
Ok, my normal competitive style wants me to be running a 10k run this weekend, but reality sucks, and the truth is that I am still struggling to run / walk 3 miles.... times are getting better, slowly and I am running slightly more than walking.... but need a big push.....
Good news is weight is down by half a stone.... so so good news....

Ooops where have the updates gone !!
My apologies have managed to not update for some time, guess I might be the only on ereading it anyway? if not feel free to comment!!!
Anyhow running is improving, still walk as much as run, but distance is not up to 2.75 miles, in 23 minutes, so getting there, clock is ticking and need to step up, but at the same time the legs have to be up to carrying my body mass around...
Looks like I have lost 4lb, which considering I am not dieting as such is not to bad, hope to lose a couple more stone before race day !!!

Getting into it now....
So tonight started with a 3 mile bike ride warm up then out for a run/walk.... 5 minutes fast walk then 4 reps of 3 minutes running 1.5 minutes walking.... before wrapping up with a 5 minute fast walk..... well ok the first 2 reps worked ok, but ended up walking the 3rd and 4th.... Still better than last time, and a vast improvement from before I started !!!
Finished off with a 3 mile warm down exercise bike ride for good measure....
Roll on Sunday, as I am off to the lookout for a bike ride... can't wait..>!!

Hurrah!!! been out for a run
Trouble is I am now in week 4 of my training plan, but still running the week 1 plan... that means I am 4 weeks out... and with no way of catching up.... So the end is going to be interesting !!!
Still working on aerobic exercises to try and get my breathing / heart rate sorted.... as this appears to be the biggest problem...

Another exercise bike day
Well thanks to the snow had to make do with another exercise bike session, taking it up gradually to a 10 mile ride in just under 29 minutes.... really got the heart rate up with is the importnat thing at this stage....
Strangely now in Austria, were they have more snow, but yet all the roads and even cycle paths and pavements are clear of snow....!!! why is it Britain is so rubbish with the weather !!!
